apMemo 2.0 is available now!
A new updated apMemo version 2.0 is available now!
Please visit the web site at www.apMemo.com.
apMemo is a quick, small, easy to use graphic memo pad with well thought-out interface. Jot down your note, or sketch your plan, and set a quick reminder. You can use different colors and pen sizes, create memos, which number is limited only by a free amount of memory. Setting a reminder requires a minimum of actions. In most cases you need only 2 or 3 stylus taps!
apMemo 2.0 Features:- Create handwriting memos, drawings and sketches using different pen colors and sizes
- Assign a reminder to a memo with just a couple of taps
- Memos are saved automatically on each major action to reduce data loss probability in case of a soft reset
- A new apMemo note can be created very quickly by mapping a button to execute the program: one button press starts apMemo, another one creates a new memo
- apMemoViewer Windows application to view apMemo notes on a desktop
- New! Setup.exe program for easier installation from a desktop *
- New! Default pen size and color user settings
- New! Data file path selection (it can be placed in \My Documents folder to be backed up to the desktop automatically)
- New! Eraser tool is made as a separate toggle button for much easier access
- New! A reminder set for a memo is indicated by selection of the Clock toolbar button.
- New! Current pen size and color are shown on the toolbar buttons
- New! Open File dialog in apMemoViewer
* The features marked as New! are available in version 2.0 only!www.apsoftsystems.com - Mobile software development

The default pen size and colour is the one thing version 1 was crying out for so it's good to see that added.
One more thing I would like to see added is if you hold down on the eraser icon, a choice of eraser size if given to make it easier to tidy up small mistakes.
It's certainly a tool I would recommend to people although I still think version 1 offers enough given it's free status.

I'm thinking about adding something like that in the future, thanks for the idea!Originally posted by donka One more thing I would like to see added is if you hold down on the eraser icon, a choice of eraser size if given to make it easier to tidy up small mistakes.
Just one tip for you until that will be implemented: a white "correction pen" can easily replace a small eraser.
That's just a beginning. There are some more ideas how to make it better, but that depends on you, the users, if the program will be enhancing...It's certainly a tool I would recommend to people although I still think version 1 offers enough given it's free status.
You know what I'm talking about - just support the developer!

Yip, already with you on the white colour pen for corrections.

As for the future development - I hear what you are saying and don't get me wrong, I think this is a quality piece of software and would happily pay for it, I just don't see a huge increase in functionality between versions 1 and 2 for the difference in price. Kudos to you for offering version 1 as freeware though, I've seen software much less professionally developed and not nearly as useful charging a fee.
What is your upgrade policy for this application?
Keep up the good work and pm me if you would like to see this software reviewed on some sites.

You probably simply calculate that difference incorrectly. Consider the price of apMemo 1.0 is $10, just with a permanent discount of $10Originally posted by donka

The upgrade will be free (at least for version 2.0 registered users). Probably I have to mention that on my site. What is your upgrade policy for this application?
Thank you! I'll bear that in mind.Keep up the good work and pm me if you would like to see this software reviewed on some sites.www.apsoftsystems.com - Mobile software development

This developer is very supportive as well. Great customer service.
I think the beauty of the application is the interface. Very simple and not overdone. I particularly like the way one can set the time too.

Alpax,
Quick question. Is there a proper way to cancel an alarm? I see if I delete a note in version 1, the reminder will still go off at the given time. The same thing happens if I go in to the time select and hit clear. No time appears set in the top left of the note but a reminder still sounds at the original alarm time.
Am I doing something wrong?

Hmm... Looks like a bug. The reminder is supposed to be removed. And actually it's been removed in my test I've just done (in the version 2.0). Only the second notification record was left, so apMemo itself started as it was scheduled. That's also incorrect of course, but at least it didn't show a system reminder and an alarm didn't sound.Originally posted by donka

I'll have a look. Thank you for reminding - I already saw such a glitch before, but had some other things to do...
PS. Why don't I receive notifications from the forum when someone replies the topic? I have Email Notification checked, but it seems not working for some reason...
