The framerate on my Axim X5 (non-overclocked) never drops below 24fps, even with all four racers onscreen. I'm runnin' WM2003.Originally posted by StephC
The following devices are not in the compatibility list of Crazy Kart :
HP iPaq H5450 (PPC2002)
HP iPaq H5550 (PPC2002)
Toshiba e750 (PPC2002)
Toshiba e740
Toshiba e330
Casio E200
Dell Axim X5
Crazy Kart will run on those devices but the frame rate will be in the range 10-15FPS, so we don't recommend owner of those devices to buy our game.
We are working hard to ensure that our games work equally on all platforms. It is not an easy tasks since documentation is often lacking and manufacturers are not always prone to help small developers like us to get the best out of their devices.
We are still working on this performance issue (ATI imageon & MediaQ).

25 fps is not exactly something amazing to brag about.Originally posted by NightShade737
We were pointing out supposedly non-supported devices, not bragging.
I was just stating a minimum fps value for my device, something that I hadn't yet referred previously (apart from an initial rough estimate having only played a bit at the time)
Do I have to apologize for posting or what?

We only have one betatester with a Dell Axim X5 (300MHz) and the game is totally unplayable on his device (10FPS).
We are currently making a patch to support Toshiba devices (e330, e740, e750), disabling the onscreen button gives much better performances on thoses devices (go figure ).
We are mapping the hardware record button as the acceleration button.
The patch we are making also disable the moving background, speeding up things a little (we expect 3-5 more FPS).
We will release a new demo soon.Stephane Cocquereaumont / Game Developer at int13 production / http://int13.net
