Default Is it Possible to print a decent "Planner Page" from Palm data?

I know there has been a spattering of discussions around this over the years, but I'd like the benefit of our decade+ of pooled knowledge and experience. I'm still using my beloved T3 (just revived an old XP system so I can sync it). I'd like to be able to print out both a daily and weekly "planner" style page for my secretary. i.e. much like what you SEE on the screen in Palm Desktop. A screen-print doesn't cut it, and the only options for "Print" in Palm Desktop are "list" views or the whole month at once.

    Is this possible?

I've heard of people exporting to Word, but I'm not sure how... I've tried doing the conversion to iCal every time I want to print, but it misses a lot of events in the conversion for some reason. With the dual popularity of Franklins/DayPlanners and Palms during the aughties, I can't believe that no one came up with a streamlined solution to regularly print out a planner-style page to distribute to non-PDAers in a decent looking format...

Any help/insight will be GREATLY appreciated.

    THANKS!

I guess one (obvious) option would be to use Outlook in place of PD; my question, though, is what are the deficiencies in a screenprint? Maybe it's how it's being captured/pasted/processed/etc....after you do the screen capture (and how are you doing that?) what do you paste it into, and what do you do then, to 'tweak' the appearance?

    I don't...um...have Outlook.

The problem with the screenprint is that it cuts things off (i.e. "Meeting with D...") and I can't quite fit my whole day on the screen at the same time. Perhaps there's another display mode I could use. Sadly, the XP system I resurrected for syncing purposes (after getting a new Vista laptop and giving up on syncing to 64 bit) has non-wide screen, which makes it fit an 8.5x11 sheet of paper all the less when I screen print and paste into Word.

Disclaimer: I apologize in advance if these are tricks you've already tried.

okay, there are a couple of options, I think. first off, the various parts of the PD can be resized -- think of them as really being columns. so, the list of functionality on the left can be made narrow, as can the tasks or contracts on the right. this is a left-click&drag operation, when the cursor changes from being a diagonal arrow to this: resize arrows.png in black, and not so large.....This should help with the appointment description being cut-off.
Next, in Word, the captured image can be cropped & re-sized. in versions before Word 2007, selecting a picture should display the picture toolbar. one of the choices there is the cropping tool cropping tool.png. this tool is a PITA to use, if you're as old as I am and don't have 20/20 vision....I'd suggest zooming up the document to 150% or 200%, to make it easier to use the tool (once you click the tool button, you need to drag the center-point of the picture in to where you want the new edge to be (my problem is that if I don't hit the mid-point exactly right, I either lose the tool, having clicked outside the picture, or nothing happens, as I've clicked inside the picture; *and* the tool doesn't change shape to let you know when you're on the mid-point)).
by now, you've cut off parts you don't need (there's a candidate for Out of Context Quotes ) and you can enlarge the picture if you need to -- to do that right-click the picture, select Format picture, click the Size tab, make sure 'Lock Aspect ratio' is checked, click ok. you can then left-click and drag any of the corner "dots" to the desired size.

    hope this helps

EDIT: forgot to say, make sure your resolution is set to its highest setting, for more screen real estate, and make sure the PD is maximized (see Disclaimer...)
EDIT2: above was, mainly, for daily view; weekly view is less flexible. I'd suggest abbreviating where possible, for example, instead of "Meeting with D..." I'd use "mtg w/ D" giving you more characters to use (unless, of course, that was just an example, in which case I feel pretty foolish )
