Re: Dog-gnawed Palm TX
Welcome to Brighthand, xf7037.

Just how new was that "brand new Palm TX"? Software working okay before the pup got the munchies? Did you backup your data daily?

Re: Dog-gnawed Palm TX
Hi there, xf7037, I've been around in BrightHand for a short time and all I can read about usedpdaparts.com is grateful opinions. Think I'll send them several repairworks myself someday. Take a tour around the threads in the forum and you'll notice the usedpdaparts.com business is quite respected here.
Sorry about that TX tragedy. That black-haired felon looks quite spoiled to me. If you're mixing PDAs and dogs in the same bowl, maybe you should think of a ruggedized cover for your TX (just joking).

Re: Dog-gnawed Palm TX
Thanks, everyone, for your reassuring good wishes.
Waldo (the black furry guy) actually has a taste for post-it notes. He regularly takes a pad of them off my desk and plays "keep away" with me for attention.
I'm not sure if he was confused by the size of my TX, or if he liked the smell of "me" on the flip cover.
I back-up regularly, and most of the software was on the SD card (undamaged).
Being a long-time PDA user, and former i930 smartphone user, I'm hooked on the TX. I already miss it SO much, even though it's been gone only a week.
Anyway, the dog is a keeper. He's an official Therapy Dog (working at libraries) -- and is MY best therapy!!
Again, I truly appreciate everyone's replies.
You're right, this was NOT the way I wanted to get involved with Brighthand!!
Take care.

lelisa13p: I didn't thank you some time ago for welcoming me into BH, as my moderator. Speaking of animals gnawing electronics, I think there's something weird in your avatar. Are you sure dinosaurs and cellphones coexisted? Ha, ha, forget it, they do indeed. I got a picture of my boss talking on his cellphone.

(gasp) Forgive me for my ignorance. Now it's clear to me that it's not a fictitious image

Re: Dog-gnawed Palm TX
Hello unpronouncable name (reminds me of Prince's name change to a symbol),
Here's another px. This is what's on the Palm before it was shrunk to scale to fit in with ....Hmmm, Therapy (TX) Dog. Palm TX Dog, yessss, TxDog. Puppy is just being what he is. How appropriate! Now he's a TX inside and out.
LTS: life's too short.
Palms: very old freebie, V, E2, T/X

Well if you ever want to wring your hands or your telephone, this is a good place to do it.
Why, I've got muscles in my head I haven't even used yet!
