I just connected my new palm to goldmine also. So far from all indications I still have to complete calls etc. ect. on my laptop. I dont think the palm is capable of performing the extra activities needed to utilize Goldmine

I would love for someone to correct me if I am wrong??

    Hi There1
Would have replied sooner, it was vacation time!
However I would like to stay in touch re: goldmine.
There dosnt seem to be many of us out there.
I feel I can get this to work for me,its just a matter of tweeking.
latest issue: unless the last name field is filled in on the PC side
it dosnt seem to sync over to the hand held.
I dont always fill in a contact name just a company name.
    What do you think
    Thanks

Greetings...Yes I noticed that there is not much response on the subject. Since my last reply I'v spent a little time messing around with GoldMine/Palm. I recently downloaded a third party software " Companion Link" trial version. It is a conduit between your Palm and your laptop that gives you more options and control of syncing. Iv even managed to complete an appointment from my Palm.

I work off of a Goldmine database that is utilized by our sales force around the country. Companion link gave me the option of just syncing with a chosen filter. Just my accouts and not the entire data base. I have around 450 accounts. They loaded up into my Palm adress book nicely.
Let me know if you discover any tricks that might help..

    Thanks...

    gothebug,
Completing appts from the handheld is key.
Please let me know if have continued success with this thru Companion link.
I had tried Companion link with my previous version of GM 4.0 and it never worked.4.0 was the problem.I never used it again.
By the way Companion link has great phone support.
Also if your'e messing around with the 3rd party sync stuff,I also tried intellisync some time ago also w/4.0 It was a disaster.
    soon alfyhouse
