Default Which PDA meets THESE requirements?

I've finally had it with my Zaurus 5500. Here's what I'd like in a replacement.

    + Mini 'thumb' keyboard
    + Built-in Wi-Fi

Is there a handheld that has these two things? I'd rather stick with Palm or Microsoft for the OS.

    Thanks!

Palm's Tungsten C has both items you requested.

Used, you should locate a unit for about 200 to 250 $ US depending on accessories the seller is offering.

    Couple of updates.

When I say 'wi-fi' I mean the ability to use free hotspots. I won't be using this for work and don't want to pay for a data plan.

Here's what I've found so far.

    Samsung SCH-i730
Seems to fit the the bill and is also a phone. the review on this site is less than stellar, but I am used to a 'sliding' keybad having had a Zaurus, and that seemed the main complaint from the reviewer.

    Cingular 8125 Pocket PC
Another smart-phone. The review on this site says it's sollid but not flashy. Could this be the one?

    HP iPAQ hw6515
Although this doesn't have wi-fi does anyone know if I can simply slap a wi-fi sd card in here?

    Thanks.

Thanks, BAB2000. I didn't see your post before I posted my followup. I'll look at that model.

A somewhat more expensive option is a Treo and an Enfora wifi sled. I know Treo 600's are still available because my neighbor just got his replaced by Sprint. I would think that the cost for either the Treo 600 or 650 would compete well with a used Tungsten C and you get a phone in the deal, but the sled would add about $129. More info on the sled at treocentral

The Verizon data plans can cost $25 for 10 MB (my plan right now) up to $60 unlimited. For $129, or just over two months worth of their plan, you can have free wifi at every hotspot you visit. Not a bad deal and something I might consider myself as I'm pretty sick of the slow data performance I get with the Treo 650 on Verizon. I end up viewing wap versions of web sites to avoid slow load times and high fees.

Check ebay for an iPaq 4350. It fits the bill and should be relatively inexpensive. It is the older WM 2003 though.

the i730 is a great powerhouse pocket pc. The only thing about it is that you can't use wifi and the phone antenna at the same time. It's a little annoying. BUT (very big BUT), you don't really need to use hotspots since EVDO is fast enough for web browsing and even downloading some large files.

    I really want a Zaurus C-1000 but I can't justify buying it.
I want a Vaio UX90 so bad that it hurts

I think that covers it all.

I've been checking out my brother's i730 and it's a solid device. Nice screen, well lighted keyboard, sliding form factor works well.

My device contribution to this thread is the now well-established PPC/XV 6700. The i730 is a lot faster, and it shows.

Of course, both of these are phones...
