Get the NX80V if you don't mind the 1.3MP camera compared to the 2.0. It's more stable, better battery life, slimmer and generally felt to be the best of the NR/NX/NZ series.

I love both. I plan on replacing my NX70V (as much as I like the camera) with a Zodiac1 when I get my next payment from my contractor. There are some things (including games) I prefer on Palm... And there's something to be said for the simpler interface, regardless of which is more 'stable' or 'capable'.
I find myself tinkering with an old Zaurus ZR-5000 I nabbed recently for $9 at a thrift shop. It's like the one I had back in '95, the very first PDA type device I ever owned. Believe it or not, there are things on that device that are superior to either Palm or PPC today! It had sketch and doodle/note apps that went into a floating window scaled-down mode (even WindowsCE doesn't really have floating windows for active apps). It had a spellchecker for the doc editor! It even had a PCMCIA slot and a 320x240 screen... And a filing system you could configure and customize to categorize all your data and apps! Not too shabby for a device that's almost 10 years old. The calculator even floated on top of whatever you were doing and had an adding machine mode that you could save the results of.Current PDAs: NEC MobilePro 900C Current Phone: Apple iPhone Current Gaming: Nintendo DS & Sony PSP

LOL Thanks for all the feedback guys! Pixelator, is the NX73V a good PDA? I know you have a NX70V. Is it the same? Can you record video with it like on the NX80V? I do agree with you that Palm apps are much better IMHO for me. I like Palm games the best, too. Thanks for all the feedback guys!

I gotta admit, I am a little puzzled as to what you are looking for in a palm that pocket PC doesnt bring to the table.
Heres my input on palms. Go for the NZ or the next best N model. The UX just doesnt seem at all thrilling to me. The only thing it really has going for itis the keyboard; which is like some wierd regular/thumboard hybrid that makes typing a pain. Then theres that TINY screen and its a pretty large device. I think the NZ is actually larger which is why I would go for the NX80V myself, but as you mentioned, size is not an issue. Is it REALLY not an issue? Cause it will certainly be an issue if you try to put a UX or NZ in your pocket.

Well, make no mistake - you're stepping down (big time) in the gaming department, despite the slight boost the Zodiac has given the PalmOS entertainment realm.Originally posted by loyilgyrl13299

You can capture video on the NX73V, but the camera (.3MP) is inferior (like the one in the NX70V) to the NX80V (1.3MP) and NZ90 (2.0MP). It's basically an NX80V with optional Bluetooth. It also has 16MB, of which only 11MB is available to the user, a serious limitation of both it and the NX70/60. I suggest the 32MB NX80V unless bluetooth is super-critical to you.Current PDAs: NEC MobilePro 900C Current Phone: Apple iPhone Current Gaming: Nintendo DS & Sony PSP

Hey Guys I am not a big Palm user at all but is Palm OS 6 coming out soon. She might want to wait for the release first? I under stand that the memory handing is supposed to be much better. The current limit of 16 meg makes it a waste for me but if this is updated in the new release it might be worth waiting for.
just a thought.
It would almost make the UX50 a real working device.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to get the NX80V. I played with the NX80V, UX50, and the UX50 at Best Buy. I'm going with the NX80V. I love it and to me, it's better than any Pocket PC for my needs.

Man, I just saw the Tungsten T3 and I love it!!! I love the strech display. I know it has built-in Bluetooth, but can it use any SD WiFi cards? If it does, I think I'll be getting the T3. There are too many cool Palm OS PDA's out!!! Which would you reccomend, the T3 or the NX80V? I will be using it for multimedia and Internet. I can use Bluetooth with my SE T616, but I really want WiFi, and it dosent have to be built in. Thanks a lot!
