What are you referring to? An appointment reminder? AFAIK, it only goes off the first time. If you don't hear it, you're out of luck. I'm of course referring to the standard MS PIM functionality. Apparently there are 3rd party apps that address some of these issues.Originally posted by pixelator
No, it works fine on PPC, at least for me. I can have it remind me every X minutes and it does so.

You mean if you're not there to select Dismiss or Snooze? Sure. It waits until you tap one or the other. But if you do, it does pop back on in a user-defined timeframe (which you can select from the reminder popup window, btw). So while you can say it's a hassle that if you miss the initial reminder it doesn't auto-remind at subsequent periods, it's not because it's a bug, per se. It's just how it works (or not, depending on your POV). The window waits for you to tell it to snooze or dismiss, like a regular alarm clock.

One issue that could be related to the alarm issue is Sprite backup which comes with ipaqs... if you set it to schedule backups you may find that your PPC will turn off randomly sometimes (for me 3 secs after turning on, randomly). I have noticed alarms being cut short by this problem and maybe for some it prevents the PPC from coming on and sounding.
There is a patch available through sprite backup:

Some are saying that once the patch is applied that their alarm problems disspear:
