Very Simple PDA required

Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a PDA for reading eBooks on whilst on the train.
I commute 1.5 hours every day, and I go through normal books at a huge rate. The library and my bookshelf just can't keep up.

I basically want a PDA with a decent sized screen, and possibly one that could rotate to landscape viewing. I don't care about colour screen, or bluetooth, or anything like that.

As long as I can get at least 1 eBook, and preferably a couple, on it and it's easy to display the eBook, and change the font size etc. then I'll be happy.

Also, I don't want to pay a fortune. Can anyone help?

Well, in terms of having the screen space that makes reading eBooks fun, I found that my T5 (replaced by the current Palm TX) was excellent. I had a 2.5hr each way commute and my T5 lasted easily both ways with reading and listening to MP3s the whole time. So with that said, I'd recommend the Palm TX, if your budget is $300 or under.

In terms of places for ebooks, they vary, but you can get some great ones from eReader.com, Fictionwise, Project Gutenberg and Memoware.com.

If you're looking for something even cheaper, there's always the Z22. The screen is smaller and much lower quality than the TX, but you can get the Z22 for under $100.
