    Question Z22 networking question

Just Curious. My wife and I each have a Z22 and I would like to know if our two palms can synch with each other. She has appointments and dates that would be great if I could have them on my Z22 with just a click of a button. Thanks. wallyman1

WELCOME to the Brighthand Forums wallyman1.

You can put all of your shared info into a category, like 'Family', then just beam the category which does not sync the data, but overwrites it. This also works with just a single item and works for all PIM info.

You can export the data from one user and import it to the other.

Read more about it in chapter titled Sharing information.

There are some shareware apps that do a sync between multiple users, SynUs is one.

Others may have more suggestions, have fun.

Or... You can take things like schedules, and copy them like meaning copy and paste. Then go on your login I.D for your palm thing on your desktop and paste it... or i think thats how it works...

    just try it.

All of that cut/paste stuff is too much trouble on a regular basis.

Setting up a separate Category for each of you on both units might be the easiest way to keep each other current. You would always beam your own Category to her unit; she would always beam her Category to your unit. Each time beaming is performed that Category would be overwritten to be the most current data for each of you. You must each only make changes on your own handheld to your own Category for this to be neat & clean. I'm afraid if there was only one shared Category like Family and you were both making changes to it, beaming it back and forth, then both trying to Hotsync it might get confusing, but as long as you have separate Usernames it could work, maybe. You'd just have to try it on a small scale first & then tweak your methods.

I try to keep several Palm units current & it is a big headache. But Category beaming would be much easier on a small scale.

Whenever you get it worked out, post your experience here. We like hearing User's results, especially the Happy Endings.
Experience is what you get when you thought you were getting something else.

There are third party apps like SyncUs and WeSync. WeSync was just relaunched this week under a new name (which I cannot remember right now...still near the top of my first cup of coffee). Either of these provide different approaches to what you are seeking.
