How to delete a Default Connection on a Palm
I need IR to be the default connection for my Z22 when i press the hotsync button.
It always uses Cable by default, unless i manually go to hotsync app and change to IR and Sync.
And since default connections cant be deleted, i dont know what to do.
Anybody knows how to delete a Default connection?

Re: How to delete a Default Connection on a Palm
Start the HotSync app on the Palm (do not press the button), under the big HotSync button on the screen is a drop down list of predefined connections. Choose 'IR to a PC/Handheld'. You can make an entirely new type of connection or edit an existing connection by following the lengthy instructions in the manual.

Re: How to delete a Default Connection on a Palm
I know i can Hotsync by the application, but pressing the button will always result in getting Cradle/Cable sync, no matter if my last manual sync was using IR.
So basically i need either to set IR as default connection or delete the Cradle/Cable Connection, wich cant be done.

If the Palm is connected to the Cable/Cradle and you press the hardware Hotsync Button on the Cable/Cradle it starts a Cable/Cradle Hotsync by design and there is no way to change it that I know of.

Press start when you turn on your computer, then go to the run program, browse through the files,(look through c: ) or something and find the file program files, then look through that and look for palm, and find the files that says something about hotsync

Re: How to delete a Default Connection on a Palm
It will not work. If you press the Hotsync Button on a Hotsync Cable you will get a Cable/Cradle Hotsync. If you set the dropdown list options on the Hotsync Button within the Hotsync application on the handheld, you will be allowed the freedom of choosing the method that you would prefer to use when you tap on the Hotsync application's button.

But if I connected my TX to the Hotsync cable like I did before & while setting up the WiFi and changed the setting to Local & Cable/Cradle, pushing that cable button would do the Cable Hotsync. If I tried it without changing the Hotsync application's settings there would be an error message: Connection could not be made, blah, blah, blah. Cable Buttons give you Cable Hotsyncs. Tapping the Hotsync application button offers some choice.
