    Post Which apps work/dont work on TX ? (yet)

    i have moved 97 percent of my t3 apps to the tx so i'm starting a thread about what works and doesnt work yet.

    for now, i am posting about three apps known not to work:

    ** fullpower (i mistakenly said pxaclocker earlier, doh!)

    ** cardreader (new version may be available soon)

    ** novii remote deluxe

    ** i was afraid/too busy to try tealscript, so if anybody tries it and it works post here and i will try it.

    what has worked for me
    * eucre
    * adobe reader (the version on the cd has an october 2005 date but it is the same old tired 3.05)
    * battery graph
    * becrossword
    * ereader (came on cd)
    * giraffe
    * majongg
    * freejongg
    * bubblewrap
    * rtbackup (have not tested restore)

    edit:
    i forgot to mention the following apps which also work fine:
    * filez
    * silverscreen 3.0.3
    * splashid
    * bubblewrap (muhuhahaha)
    * tcpmp
    * wifile (came on cd - clunky but works - connected to my netstorage drive in 2 tries)

    edit again:

    it wasnt pxaclocker, it was fullpower that did not work. sorry to scare all you overclockers out there. no i have not tried pxaclocker yet and i dont plan on it for some time...

    Since you've loaded your PIMs, can you check to see if Find lists more than 8 Contacts results and if it lists the Date and Time on Calendar results (which is still broken on the E2).

    Also, do you have TextPlus and how is it going, particularly with any Backup application?

    Bummer about NoviiRemote.

    Just curious but since it worked on the T3, T5, E2 and LifeDrive, can anyone venture a guess what would have changed to make it no longer work on the TX? (Probably a Palm internals thing, but it seems like something you would expect would still work.)

    FullPower doesn't work. FileZ works. TCPMP works. UDMH might work.

    How strange. I (for one) would have thought they wouldn't do much with the IR port, but I guess I'd be wrong. Thanks for the info. Looking at the version history on the Novii page it looks like they'll probably come out with an update like they did with the E2.

    I thought I saw a post here from earlier today, from the FullPower developer, saying that he's just release v1.12 to work with the TX?

    Sorry for posting this in 2 places. I just wanted to make sure that you saw it. I hope to learn from your successes.
    I will be migrating from a T3 to a Tx when mine arrives tomorrow or Monday. My most important apps are all updated for the T5. How did you move the majority of your apps: bluetooth or from your backupcard?I have the most recent BackupBuddyProVFS update that apparently works great on a T5 now. Did you need to install Palm Desktop from the CD or is the current updated version on the Palm website the same one? Did you reinstall over the old version or start from scratch?
    Has anyone checked FileMakerMoblie 6 on a Tx yet?
    Thanks for being in the vanguard on this one and thanks in advance for anwering my questions and providing and useful tips. I intned to post my experiences as well

    Does anyone know if the original Palm wireless keyboard (not the universal keyboard) works on the TX?

    Find lists 8 contacts, then if I hit find more it shows more. I think only 8 of em fit on a page. I tried find on calendar entries and I see a list of calendar entries on the left and date/times on the right. To try to figure out what you are getting at, I had to go down in the basement and fish for my t3 (my how quickly it got relegated!)

    I see no difference in the find on t3 versus tx. Can you elaborate on what is broken?

    I remember find couldn't detect substrings in the middle of words. It is probably still broken in that respect.
