Re: Still using TX?
I'm not terribly eager to move up to an iOS or Android device for the PIM suites; these days I'd mostly be in it for the web browser and other apps.
For now, though, my LifeDrive (and TX, until recently) is my main mobile browser.
In the meantime, I've been working on a replacement for the now-defunct Palm Mobile Portal, which was once my handhelds' home page. :/Do not throw in the towel. Use it for wiping the sweat off your face.
My device history: (Red means I still have it.)
Zire (December 2002) --> Zire 71 (September 2006) --> Tungsten E2 (June 2009) --> TX (February 2010) + LifeDrive (March 2011) + iPAQ hx4700 (April 2011) + HTC Magic (32B) (May 2012)
Other devices, obtained along the way:
Zire (blue, with Graffiti 2), Zire 21, Zire 31, m500, m125, m130, Zire 72 (two of 'em, one with a damaged battery connector), Palm Treo 650 (Verizon version, worn-out keyboard)

Re: Still using TX?
Glad to hear that it's useful for someone other than myself!
I will continue to try and build it up with the most helpful links, and eventually start sorting them into groups on the page.
If you like, you can rattle off the names of mobile sites you visit a lot, and I'll add some to the page.
(I will, of course, keep testing it on my LifeDrive to make sure it loads quick!)

Re: Still using TX?
I miss the Palm Mobile Portal too. I have no idea why HP didn't just re-label it HP Mobile Portal for Palm OS or something.

Re: Still using TX?
Download palmportal.txt and save it to your SD card. Rename the file extension .txt to .html. In Blazer, create a bookmark to file://<card_name>/<directory>/palmportal.html.
EDIT: Make it your home page, too.

Re: Still using TX?
Still using my T|X, and Dngrswife still uses hers. Can't remember which iteration we are both on-- I use 'em 'til the can't do anything then I repair or replace them, whichever is more economically sound.

Re: Still using TX?
In the end, I'm not sure there is one -- at least not a significant difference. I created both of them from different sources. I think the first was from a PalmInfocenter link and the latter via Wayback. The latter was specific for the 755p, and when opened on my desktop, has nicer 2-column formatting. But in Blazer, I think they both look the same. Probably the links are the same, too. I'm too lazy at this point to compare them.

I think just like you, more than offensive, it's kind of a sad milestone. What went wrong, well it was not one but many things. It was a good era.
