What have I done to my digitizer?!?
Hey TX fans,
I just replaced my screen protector for the second time in two weeks, and this time, by gory, I was sure gonna get those bubbles out...now my digitizer's wonky, even after running that wonderful little utility PowerDigi several times. Could I have damaged it? Maybe it's only a coincedence. Maybe not.

Re: What have I done to my digitizer?!?
Can you tell us why you replaced the Screen Protector twice in 2 weeks, were you having Digi problems ?
What brand of Protector is it, does it 'stick' to the screen, was it difficult to get off, how did you get it off ?
If it was a sticky and the screen lifted as you removed the Protector then this could cause problems.
How did you get the bubbles out ?
If you pushed too hard with a Credit Card or whatever this could also cause problems.
It may be that a piece of dirt (or whatever) is trapped under the Protector and pushing on the screen, this will create a false 'tap'.
I suggest you carefully take the Protector off, Soft Reset, Calibrate the Touchscreen and see if the problem is still there.
Were you using PowerDigi before because of Digi problems or did you only now install it to try to fix this problem ?
Digi problems are a Hardware problem and so an app like Power Digi can extend the usage time of your Digi but eventually it will fail completely.
When that happens a replacement Digi is the only answer.
Good luck
All the best, woz of oz

Wellll....,
I "only" used the little cardboard card supplied, and then I used a credit card (no pointy objects!), but maybe I used a teensy too much elbow grease...

Re: What have I done to my digitizer?!?
Thanks woz, for the suggestions, I'll give it a try...Oh, and I replaced it the first time because I wore a hole in the one I'd had forever, and the second time because I didn't get all the dirt out from under the first replacement. No digitizer problems.

Blimey - wore a hole! What have you been doing using a drill instead of the stylus? I use boxwave protectors which are extremely durable. Also to fit with no bubbles or dirt trapped I wash the protector under a tap before fiitting and blow the screen just before placing to remove any dust which might have settled on the screen. Any water trapped disappears after a couple of days.
You could try this method with your protector.
