Yep, the TX is cool on wheels! I've been kicking around the computer biz since 1962, and it just keeps getting better and better!

I went to Maui Coffee Roasting Co. this morning for a brain lube & buzz and had my first WiFi web experience on the TX - awesome!!

Any day now, the TX will flash on the display ... 'Don't Panic' ... 42 ...

Wow, you know it well. I am always surprised how many folks have passed through Santa Cruz. I actually live on Fern Flat Road off of Trout Gulch Road about 10 minutes inland from Aptos Village and less than 20 minutes from Sewer Peak.

Enjoy your Tx, I really love mine. If your are looking for accessories, I got a great metal case from proporta.com which my Tx lives in. I don't even keep my boards in bags.

I also got my electical accessories (car and battery chargers- both of which have come in very handy) from Gomadic.com because they come with replaceable tips so you can use them with multiple devices. I can charge my cell phone with the same chargers. I also have a BT keyboard which I love but many folks prefer the IR keyboard.

When it comes to headphones do a search as a lot has been written about them and some are better on the Tx than others. You can spend as much on accessories as you did on your Tx. What perverse thought?

I also use eReaderPro to read an occasional ebook, have a few games (Snowboard Bob is great - no surf games that I have found) which I occassionally play, and use FileMaker Mobile to view and Edit databases which are synced with my computer.

Finally I am playing with TextPlus which really speeds up text entry and so far I love it. There are several threads on it so if you do a search you will find them.

Hey you don't live in such a shabby place yourself. I have never been to Maui but I own a little condo on the north shore of Kauai.
I would rather surf the ocean than the net. Cowabunga!

Talking Re: Palm TX Hints, Tricks and Suggestions Wanted ...

Kauai North Shore? Very nice I love Hanalei Bay beach, and table #55 at the Happy Talk Bar at the Hanalei Bay Resort. Table #55 sits right on the point of the big concrete slab the bar is built on, with a wonderful view of the grounds and down to Hanalei Bay. And doing Napili Coast in Zodiacs ... oh my yes !! And Bubba's Burgers which they no longer have on Maui ... the Princeville Hotel for breakfast. Very, very nice !!

It makes me want to take a vacation from Maui and go visit Kuaui again !!

That's a good idea <Nine thinks long and hard for a bit. Sadly, nothing long and hard turns up, so he carries on working in his equally rained-on studio>

MauiMike, you do realize that from this point forward you can only post to this forum via your TX? That's how we all do it!

Let us not forget the free pupus, cheap drinks, and great music at the Happy Talk on Friday. Then there are the comfortable couches, great views of Hanalei Bay, and free wi-fi at the Princeville Hotel.

    Life is grand!
