Only three more days of waiting for the Palm TX. Lots of compatible software, I see. I've downloaded the 690 page User Manual and am reading through that ... this is going to be fun !

hint: use a screen protector! my screen protector is looking pretty sick, just think what my screen would look like otherwise,

I suppose a screen protector is important for MauiMike, given the sand and all... I've been very pleased with the Clarivues. I believe that they're the best value and have very good performance for the money. (No, I don't have any stock in Clarivue!) Search for screen protectors here on Brighthand and you'll get many many opinions.

Last night as the moon was rising from behind Haleakala, the UPS driver came across the beach to the grass shack carrying a small box - and in it was my new Palm TX !! Good thing it was a sunny day before and the solar panels had charged up the bank of batteries! I switched in the AC inverter and started to charge my new TX.

While the TX was charging, the wife and I sat on the lanai, sipped Mai Tais and watched the surf in the moonlight while I read through the TX User Guide and checked out the upgrade thread.
After a dinner of fresh mahi-mahi with mango salsa and a nice salad, the TX was charged and ready to go.

The upgrade went very smoothly, and before I knew it, my new TX was loaded with all my data and I was taking the 'Quick Tour'. When 10PM rolled around, I was still carefully poking around in the TX - but it was time to put up the hammocks and get some sleep.

I'm on the lookout for the screen protectors, hard case, SD cards, etc. Thanks for all the tips and good advice. My TX and I are off to a good start as a result!
