Re: Can not delete memunfragment
FileZ is the answer
In FileZ change the creater Id to: xxxx and then save.
Exit FileZ
Go back into FileZ and delete the app.
Good luck

What is the creator ID for memunfragment?

Re: Can not delete memunfragment
I don't know as I deleted that app months and months ago. The changing the creator id will work to delete any "protected app" but please make sure you don't need the app for some reason!!

Re: Can not delete memunfragment
I'm a T3 user but this may help. With a T3, these types of apps are easily removed by performing a warm reset and then using Filez to remove the app. Removal is even better if you're using an uninstall application. The caveat is that I don't know if warm resets are an option on a TX.

Re: Can not delete memunfragment
Unless I'm being a moron, won't the creator ID be the same shown for other Dimtry products: ZiCL (which is what is shown by Trackerdog for WarpSpeed).

Re: Can not delete memunfragment
Warm reset is very good advice. For some reason, many users have more difficulty performing a warm reset. The FileZ -- change creator ID method was actually from Dmitry (I believe).

Re: Can not delete memunfragment
The creater id typically is a four letter abbreviation of the title of the application. It does not have to be. The author of the software can make up anything he so desires. It will be a different id for every app he writes. By rights, the author should register his id's with Palm if he intends to sell his software so the id of one of his apps is not the same as any other app.

Re: Can not delete memunfragment
Thanks Gregte, but what a daft idea. It's either the creator or the app ID. Why on earth establish a practice of calling the app ID the creator ID?
