    Default Off Flush

My question is : Is off flush necessary or is it just a pretty little gadget? For instance I can use it and get 90% free and run a bunch of stuff and check it and it will be down to 10-15% and so I clean it out and go back to around 90%. My real question is what difference does it make? Soft reset doesn't clear out the cache so how did I survive these past 5 months without it and how is everybody else surviving? Some people even talk of no soft resets for days or even weeks so surely there cache number has gotta be 0 or even below.

    Any info appreciated.

Well I am still using sharkclear. It is a similar app as it empties the cache (I have mine set to empty at OFF and before Blazer or VM when run). Since it does the same thing as Off Flush it should be the same experience.

Blazer runs SO much faster with the cache emptied. Instead of a 20 second to one minute delay I now have about 5-8 second delay. Not great -- but SO MUCH BETTER!!!

And yes I know Sharkclear's beta has expired. It still works you just can not change the settings (unless you change your date to 4-7-06 change the settings and then reset the date).

I am waiting on the edge of my TX for tyler to release an update. I am sure he is tired of all the e-mails and pestering posts and questions during the 1src chat

Thanks MP. So the basic purpose of these programs is to help when using the blazer program which I use daily so I guess I'll keep it going.

I think the main purpose of these programs is when running large programs that need to make room in the cache before opening.

If I understand it correctly: as you open up more and more apps the cache starts to fill up. Using fake numbers, lets say you open up 11 programs all 2mb big filling up 22 mb of a 26 mb cache. Now lets say you try and run Blazer which need 12 mb free. Now you have to wait (and wait) for the TX to clear up 12 mb before Blazer can run.

With a cache program, it attempts to keep the cache cleaner so that you have room to open these programs. Tyler hopes to make sharkclear auto lock programs that need to stay in a "cache" while auto cleaning the rest. If he can do it - the TX will be great

Sweet! I tried the Blazer with my cache below 30% and it took like 20 seconds and then I exited and rechecked the cache and it was up to 84%, then I tried to connect to the web again and it took like 2 seconds. I have retested this several times and all I can say is WOW why did it take me 6 months to get this!
    Thanks...

Which is more stable, Off Flush or Shark Cache? How will either work with RLock?

It sounds so good with Off Flush so I just installed it. But every time I run it it causes a reset on completing the task. Any one knows why? Are there any special settings I have to make?

I didnt have to do anything special for it to work correctly, it's been extremely stable for me so far. The developer did say many others had problems with it though. Maybe it's some conflict with something else on your tx.

I had a couple of soft resets initially, but no issues now. I don't remember doing anything particular to correct it....

Of the two apps, I'd pick OffFlush. Sharkcache's developer is, well...how do I say this...I perceive him as kind of flighty....

Hasn't the developer of Off Flush discontinued supporting Off Flush due to instability issues?
