Re: Palm Introduces Wi-Fi Security Update for the TX
pharbrian,
My university also requires enterprise WPA for access to the secured network. I've been using the unsecured access which redirects me to a login page on initial access. Does this upgrade allow me to store the certificate and login info on my Palm so I don't have to keep entering it everytime I connect?

Perfect! What a combination, WPA and convenience! Too bad it wasn't a free upgrade...

Re: Palm Introduces Wi-Fi Security Update for the TX
I am considering to buy the upgrade. My school use the following setting.
http://www.itap.purdue.edu/airlink/setup/winxp.cfm
Does the upgrade support "Thawte Premium Server CA"?

Re: Palm Introduces Wi-Fi Security Update for the TX
I believe you will need to manually download the "Thawte Premium Server CA" Client certificate and follow the instructions when you download the update to install the wifi profile via your sd card. In your settings for your palm you will be using PEAP as your Authentication protocol, and you will be using MSCHAPv2 for your Tunneled Authentication protocol. After that, you'll be able to access your school's network.

Re: Palm Introduces Wi-Fi Security Update for the TX
I have just bought a TX and am having some annoying wifi problems.
WPA-PSK works fine, but only when the SSID is broadcast.
As soon as you de-select this option on my router (A Netgear DG834) the TX will simply not connect at all!
Wondering if purchasing this upgrade will sort out my problem, or if I've just got an annoying bug I need to live with.....

Re: Palm Introduces Wi-Fi Security Update for the TX
Hi,
Thanks for the welcome!
I got it working...
Needed to backup the settings of my router, Hard-re-set the router, copied the exact same settings back on and...<drumroll please....SUCCESS!>
Wifi is a fickle beast sometimes :-)

Re: Palm Introduces Wi-Fi Security Update for the TX
This would not have anything to do with me not being able to send my e-mail mail through to the smtp server at Comcast, would it?
