Change language for Palm 111C
I have a Palm 111C that is in French. How do I change the language to English?

Re: Change language for Palm 111C
I am guessing that after a hard reset that the language option might be visible.

On a TH-55 preference page/formats you have the option to switch which country. Maybe under Preference/formats you have that option?

Re: Change language for Palm 111C
I Googled "Palm iiic change language" and found several things. Some helpful, some not. I would sync and try the hard reset option first and if that doesn't work, here's a couple of discussions I found:
Change Language - Palm Vx [Archive] - PDA street forums
Palm OS 4.1 is now available !!! [Archive] - GSM-Forum
Can't tell for sure but it looks as if an OS upgrade that might be needed is no longer available from the Palm website but the Palm disk can be found here and there for sale.
Mine's a bit ragged but still functional. I'm sure I have the box with the manual and the disk somewhere but I'm not sure where. My disk might be outdated though. I recall having flashed it once to get an upgrade. That was many years ago.

Missle man may need to use File Z to see if there are some english files in his Palm 3c. If not he may need to have someone send some English files to his Palm device.

Re: Change language for Palm 111C
From what I remember, the IIIc would require the OS4.1 ROM upgrade CD to complete what the OP requests.
Before applying, I believe is is also required to install the English version of the Palm desktop as well for the correct Hotsync function.
The m5xx series were the only models I thought were shipped with the EFIGS version of ROM (OS 4.0 and later 4.1) EFIGS = English, French, Italian, German, & Spanish.
This would permit the user to select the language of preference when first turned on. Then a hard reset should provide the option if one changes their mind.Welcome to Brighthand
