Transfer calendar from Palm to Nokia internet tablet/Google?
Hi
I would need to transfer my calendar from Palm m515 (DateBk5) to a Nokia n810 internet tablet running the GPE suite. GPE can sync with Google calendar and it can also use vEvent and such using something called Opensync.
Any ideas of how to achieve this copying?
Advice on moving Contacts and GNU Keyring are also welcome.

What options does datebook give you for export? See my DNA rant thread for one way to get from Palm to an iCal file (that Google can read)

Re: Transfer calendar from Palm to Nokia internet tablet/Google?
The solution was quite simple, once found:
1) install Palm Dekstop
2) sync Datebook and Address to Palm Desktop
3) install CompanionLink for Google, trial version
4) sync Palm Desktop to Google
Now I have all my events and contacts at Google.
Now I just need to sync them to GPE suite using Ermining... but it crashes each time... One step closer though...

Interesting. I've been considering uploading my Palm address book to Google, primarily to use with Google Voice. Maybe CompanionLink is the way to go.

Re: Transfer calendar from Palm to Nokia internet tablet/Google?
Yes it worked for me.
Then I also noticed that the "crashes" of Ermining were actually connection problems.
Stopping an unresponsive Ermining application was the wrong solution. My bluetooth-DUN internet instead needed to be restarted occasionally in the middle of the import.
I also did the import in several phases (I had 10 years worth of calendar events; quite many that is).
