    Default When was my Palm made?

    You can calculate it from the serial number.

    Note the 7th, 8th, and 9th digits (or the 6th, 7th and 8th...whichever makes sense) in your serial number. As an example, let's suppose they are AO0 (that's letter A, letter O, number zero)

    The 7th digit indicates the month, where a=Jan, 2=Feb, ..., B=Nov, C=Dec.

    The 8th digit indicates the day. 1=1st, and then A=10th, and so on. See below.

    The 9th digit indicates the year. (you can work out the decade from the model)

    So AO0 was made on 24th October, 2000.

    Those Month and Day Codes in full:

    Unhappy When was my palm made

    Looing at mine I am really confused..

    So help me out here - beginning with the 7th digit my serial number reads

    P260XV

    or

    xxxxxxP260XV

    So when was it made?

    Use the 6th, 7th and 8th positions instead.

    Cool! Thank you for the info! Mine was made 1/25/2002 -- oh oh that was a friday.....

    It still works great though! I am really enjoying it after using a dropped (Cracked case that had to held firmily in the cradle to get it to sync) IIIxe.

    I am really happy to have found this forum and all the neat (and Useful!) information here.

    I wouldn't worry about what day (Friday, Saturday, etc.) it was built on -- robots work 24/7 :-)

    Question Mine's not there

    My SN is xxxxxAY2A7xx. I guess October 2002 had more then 31 days. I see it is made in China. Maybe the Chinese calendar has more than 31 day. Maybe mine is y/m/d.
