Default Axim x51v to replace Ipaq rx3715

I am thinking about replacing a Ipaq rx3715 with a Axim x51v, and was wondering if anyone knows if the Axim 51v will seem slower in opening PIM and normal apps compared to the Ipaq because of the VGA screen. The ipaq has been a great PDA, but I would really like to try out the VGA screen on the Dell.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The speed differences aren't noticeable in real world use.

I know that some benchmarking apps show that the X51v is significantly slower than older handhelds, but these over-emphasize small differences.

To put things in perspective, a benchmarking application could say that the X51v takes 25% longer than an older model to perform the same task. But if that task previously took .5 seconds, is it really all that bad that it now takes .75 seconds?

And, as I said in my review, Windows Mobile 5.0 performs many tasks significantly faster.

I would wait a month or more before jumping on a V51X. I picked one up the first day but am still using my 2755 as my main PocketPC. WM5 has many problems and ActiveSync 4.0 does not make them any easier.
Very few programs have been updated for WM5. No VGA fixes have been updated so the only advantage to the VGA screen is readability but I think the 2755 is just as readable.
ActiveSync 4.0 has many issues with firewalls and limiting your ability to sync. No WiFi sync and it will now only allow you to sync contacts and schedule with one computer. I also does not support backup any longer.
With persistant storage backup is no longer needed but I still back up oftern. Because so many programs are not yet WM5 compatable backup is required vs. reloading all the time.
As others have listed there are problems with CF and SD card recoginition, slow activesync because everything goes to persistans (slow) storage even your email, I have a power run down problem even though I turn everything off (drains the battery over night), I have had many resets - I think caused by the switcher program, many white screens and many times it will not turn on without a reset.
Until Dell provides software fixes it is staying home because it is just not reliable.
If you must have a WM5 machine check out the iPAQ 2975, you already have an extra set of accessories for it from your other iPAQ.
