    Default Good charger replacement?

I've lost my axim charger and am looking for a resonably priced replacement. Does anybody know a Radio Shack replacement that would be suitable or am I pretty much locked into ordering something from Dell?

If you can find a tip and a power supply that will provide the correct current, it should work.

    The output on the charger:
    5.4V - 2410mA - Positive tip.

Does anyone know if this would void the warranty?

I use the charger that came with my old iPaq and it works great with the Axim, even though it only puts out 5V. Probably takes a little longer to charge, but I can't tell the difference. I think that any charger that puts out about 5V and adequate amps and has the right tip and polarity would work fine.

Make sure you check the polarity, though. I don't know what would happen if you got one that was reversed.

    Default Chargers

Hi, you can find chargers and dc adapters, etc ad nauseum for sale on ebay pretty cheap. Unfortunately, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't work. I bought one off a reputable guy (peakcloudy, good guy) on ebay. It didn't work, had to send it back for a refund. I had the same problem with my audiovox maestro, even third party chargers I bought at compusa didn't work with it. It's funny that this happens since 90% of the stuff rolls off the same assembly line. Dell sells their travel charger for
$18.00 and I got free shipping with mine so it wasn't bad, not like the 60+ bucks that audiovox wanted for the charger on my old maestro. 5.4 volts seems to be common with these pda's my old maestro dc adapter works on the axim so I didn't even have to buy that again.
