Re: Nokia N97 Out
Price looks to be 500 euros, which is about 650 usd (currently). Things can change before its introduction for this market though.

Re: Nokia N97 Out
Holy **** that phone is packed with features. Seriously incredible.
I am very very curious to hear reviews of the physical hardware like the screen/keyboard slide.
But my guess is this thing just lit a serious fire under every other smartphone maker. Go Nokia go!

Re: Nokia N97 Out
It's a fantastic handset, but I wonder whether there will be enough people without phones or contracts to make purchases. With so many other recently released phones, can the people who bought them afford to switch to this? I mean they probably have contracts.

Re: Nokia N97 Out
davidbec, the same thing was said of the N95. 2 years, 15million units
Its being retired for this and the N85.
This isn't a volume product. Nokia's mass market touchscreen device is the 5800 XpressMusic. That one is $300 USD *before* the taxes and subsidies.
Also, one doesn't have to switch much more than just a SIM card with GSM phones. Take SIM out of current mobile, put SIM in N97, keep moving. No need to switch a contract. In areas not named the US, this mobile will be subsidised quite heavily. For example, while the N95 came out more expensive than this, many places subsidized it to nearly be no cost at all.
The only limitation is what people want to do
