Can the Nook Color connect to an ad hoc WiFi network?

I can tether my PC to my TP2 via WiFi, but the Nook Color can't even see the network. Is it because the TP2 is creating an ad hoc network?

That is correct. I think there was a pseudo-fix floating around XDA, or you can use CM7, which has no problems with an ad-hoc connection.

FYI, rooting the stock OS doesn't fix this.

Thanks. I played with the Nook Color for quite some time today. I certainly like the idea of a tablet, but after spending time with one I don't think we're ready for each other yet. In the end, I think I want something that's at least as functional/usable as my netbook. More to the point -- since I already own a netbook and a smartphone, I see no compelling reason to get a tablet just yet. Maybe tomorrow.
