Music and RealPlayer
I just got a tungsten E2 today and it has RealPlayer on it. I would like to listen to some tunes. The instructions say that you put the mp3s onto an expansion card. I have a 16MB card. But i can't see how to get the mp3s on to it. It has backup buddy on it. Is there a way to mount that card on my PB desktop and drag mp3s on to it?

Don't have a mac but can advise that RP plays only .mp3 codec. If you have anything from the Apple iTunes store it has proprietary DRM which cannot play without a different player. You may want to check into Aeroplayer, Pocket Tunes, and TCPMP (and search on these apps in Forum Options on the left of your screen) for loads of comparison and experience.
You will need to create an Audio folder on the card and can drag over if you have a card reader. Keep in mind that usual compression of mp3 will use 1MB/minute so you might want a larger card (I use a 1GB exclusively for media and a 512MB for applications and data).DT Lives in SFO...away from flying objects.

music/mp3s
thanks for all those suggestions.
I don't have more than a few mp3s from the iTunes store. I have a couple thousand that are just regular mp3s.
I have a digital camera that connects to the computer with a USB cable and mounts its SD card on my computer desktop as another volume. I wonder if i can just use the camera as a card reader.

You can certainly use the camera as a card reader. You might have to fiddle a bit to get out of the camera application if that is what automatically launches, but I'm sure you'll figure that out.

Ju4dy,
Between this thread, and your thread on bluetooth sync, you may want to consider Missing Sync for Palm OS.
It is a replacement for Hotsync Manager that is more Mac OS savvy. Among its features are iPhoto integration, iTunes integration, allowing the SD card to appear on the Mac desktop, and simplified Bluetooth sync setup.
I don't currently have bluetooth on my Mac, so I can't directly look up your virtual serial port issue, and a quick search didn't find me much either. Try searching the forums here to see if you find some info, or hopefully another one of our Mac savvy Brighthandians will be able to assist you with that.
