Was just handed a Palm m500 and tried to setup the screen with the stylus and when I tap the screen nothing happens. The unit was attempted to be setup by someone else but can not get much from them on what they did. Any help wound be great

Perform a hard reset, as explained here, and start over.

Explain what you just did (based on my advice) and the results of each step.

    1. I held the power button and pressed the reset on the back and when the logo screen came up I released the power button.

    2. Received the message Erase All Data?
    Yes - "up" button
    No - any other button

    3. I pressed the upper scroll button and I received the Setup screen telling me to remove the stylus and use the stylus to tap anywhere to continue

    4. So I removed the stylus and tap the screen and no response. I continue to have the setup screen with teh spinning palm picture
