    Hello Battousai1.

Have you looked into J-Pilot yet?

There are about half a dozen different methods for getting a Palm to talk to a Linux box. Personally, I use Ximian Evolution/gnome-pilot/pilot-link, and it works quite well over a serial connection. It works less well over USB and frankly I haven't really put a lot of time into debugging it.

Not Palm Desktop, no. Palm Desktop is only available for Windows and Mac. Unfortunately, Palm has not seen fit to release a Linux (or, preferably, a Java) version.

However, there are many alternatives. Search Sourceforge or Freshmeat for "pilot" or "palm" and you'll get plenty of links to software such as JPilot, KPilot, Gnome-pilot, pilot-link, ColdSync, etc...

Pilot-link can give you basic functionality - i.e., backups, restores, and installations, as well as the ability to move data in and out of the basic applications. The others, such as JPilot and gnome-pilot, give you conduits to applications like Evolution.
