m500 crashes constantly

I go to access my Palm, either accessing by tapping one of the hard buttons or the power switch it turns on and functions as expected. After perform this action a couple more times, the PDA will freeze and will remain in a frozen state until a 'soft reset' is performed.

After a 'soft reset' my Palm will crash again as it did before. It doesn't matter what functionality i'm tyring to access (ie calender, clock etc) it will consistently crash after the 2nd time I'm accessing my palm (after an auto-off).

Any suggestions?

Normally I would tell you to rename your backup directory, hard reset your Palm and Hotsync - in an attempt to isolate a rogue application. Now, I'm not so sure...

At least one of our members would attribute this to an electrostatic dischage, and recently produced this interesting post about your problem; it includes a link to a much longer discussion about the possible cause.
