M515 not powering up

My Palm M515 will not power up unless I do a hard reset. I am have difficulty getting it to power up even doing a hard reset unless it is in the cradle. The battery seems to hold a decent charge.
When I have done a hard reset, I have also cursored up to delete data, but that did not make any difference. Can you give me any help

Can you provide more info? How do you know it still holds a decent charge, do you still get the expected runtime from the battery once you have hard reset it? Does the m515 get more warm than usual when charging it? Does the back case look swollen (place it on desk to verify this)? These last two questions are to rule out the possibility that the battery is defective or near the end of its life.

The battery indicator shows at least a 50 percent charge when I am able to get the PDA powered up. There is no indication that the m515 gets warmer than usual when charging. The case does not look swollen.

Problem solved. Replaced the battery.
