Re: need recommendation
You decision ought to be wieghted by your needs. If you need to play MP3s on your PDA, then the n760c is your only choice, it's only drawback is that it has only 8mb of RAM. If you want a Hi-Res screen, then you should choose the t615c or n760c. If you're looking for the smallest size and absolute most accessories, then the m515 is your best choice.Originally posted by xdavidx

I will stress this though I'd lean toward either the m515 or t615c because of the 16mb ram on the device. It'll let you load more data on the PDA itself rather than a memory card. You will be able to use the PDA and get data faster.Read Phil 4:8

I posted this a few times...I'll help you out the best I can.
What Nismo said is dead on correct...its all about needs. I had never purchased a PDA before, so I went into this completely objective. I was looking at the T-615 and the m515. I did some research online, read the forums and then went to CompUSA and played with the 2 units.
Here is what I found. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Sony's hi-res. Its gorgeous. But I did notice that the color is not as vibrant as the Palm...its a bit washed out. But the clarity is just beautiful.
The form factor for me was all about the Palm. The Sony didn't fit my hand as well. Didn't seem as solid as the Palm. I also liked the buttons on the Palm better. The Sony's were a bit small, as was the stylus, but that can be fixed by buying a 3rd party brand.
I've also had some bad experiences with Sony's customer service, but I didn't know if anyone else did...until I read some of the forums. I heard some of the same sentiments over there...but then again, I've heard a few bad things with unsatisfied Palm customers too. I had to go on my own personal experience on that one.
The last thing, and the thing that pushed me over to Palm once and for all...the accessories. Sony had nothing there. No cases, no extra pack of stylus, no keyboard...nothing. There was an abundance of Palm supplies there. I left with a case, stylus 3-pack and the portable keyboard. Went back the next day for the games card and expansion card.
Its all about preference. I just gave you what I saw when I went through this a few weeks ago. And I am ecstatic with my decision. I love my 515.

I would rather have someone poke hot needles in my eye than deal with Sonys non customer service.
For my needs Palm m series fit the best. I am sure if you go to the Sony forum there are differing opinions.

xdavidx,
One more thing. We try to be unbiased in our opinions, but to be honest, this is the m5xx forum. You'll get a lot of responses from happy m5xx owners, (and a few from unhappy m5xx owners too).Read Phil 4:8

Absolutely!!! Stay away from ANYTHING that uses the PALM software/OS!!!! I recommend the Compaq I-paq or the HP Jornada, both have served me well!

I'm sure there are some that have had good/ bad experiences one way vs. another. Personally, I haven't found Windows CE (Ipaq, Jornada, etc.) to be as stable as PalmOS. But that's just one person's experience.Originally posted by Bibleman7

xdavidx specifically mentioned three different PalmOS PDAs as his list of choices. He didn't ask for a Pocket PC vs. PalmOS debate to be started. Please stay on topic.Read Phil 4:8
