    Default Beam a category

    Hi,
I have a palm m105 (Palm OS 3.5.2 and DateBook 3.5.1). I recently bought a Tungsten E and now I want to beam an entire category of DateBook events to my Tungsten E from the m105. But as far as I can see there is no place I can beam an entire category over.. just a record (by clicking on it first).

Is there something that I am doing wrong or doesnt this version of the Palm OS/datebook support beaming of categories?

If the latter, is there anyway I can upgrade the Datebook and Contacts applications on the m105 so that I can beam categories of data from the m105 to the TungstenE

    Thanks
    Pat

No, you are not doing anything wrong. The Palm datebook application and its database do not support catagories, so the option to beam a catagory is not possible.

There is not an update to these Palm PIM applications, however the Addressbook on the m1xx will support beaming of catagories, open the addressbook app, and the catagory you require then tap the drop down. You then can select "Beam Catagory".

The PIM apps found on the T/E are latest/greatest. And offer more function than previous version. Utilizing the new desktop you maybe abe to copy paste from one user to another?

    Default Beaming a category

Thanks for that info.... It's a little dissappointing tho

My wife has the m105 and I have the Tungsten E. Both of us update the DateBook and it would be nice to be able to share the schedule entries either of us makes. If m105 does not support Categories, is there some other attribute using which I can beam schedule entries from the m105 to the TungstenE. For instance, can I beam by date range maybe? Is there some software out there that adds this feature to the dateBook (on the m105)?
I guess changing the DateBook app completely on the m105 is not a good idea because then even if I can beam m105->TE, the other way around may not work.

    Any suggestions?
    Freeware.. shareware.. somewhere.. anywhere!!

    Thanks

Not on th ehanheld, but on the desktop SyncUS will do as you require for all the PIM apps on the handheld.
