    Default spell check

    can i put a spell checker on my m100? if so where & how? thanks & thanks to Jennifer S for answering my last post on how to save my plam to disc.

    Yes, but keep in mind that it'll eat a chunk of your m100 memory.

    You may want to trial QuickSpell / QuickCheck, SpellCheck, Thesaurus/SpellCheck , SpellMan, or Spell+.

    A chunk isn't the word ... most spellcheck databases are over a meg in size ...

    There are several freeware apps, too ... FreeWrite being the one I used for the longest time ... available from http://www.handheld.hice-dev.org/

    Does FreeWrite work well? Is it stable?

    It has a simple interface ... easy to use ... the spell-checking takes a little bit of time, and it doesn't pop up suggestions ...

    But, it is free, DOESN'T crash ... and the spell-checking is optional, so you can share just the application if you want to show someone a document ...

    Its desktop conduit generates HTML pages for desktop use - copy and paste into your word-processor ...

    I liked it a lot, but I didn't need the checker, so I deleted it ...
