    Default My old M-100

    While cleaning my room, I bumped into my old M-100 Palm without its cradle, I probably left it in my old house. Anyway, I bought a USB (generic type) InfraRed.

    Problem is, it can't connect via HotSync (infrared) to my laptop.

    Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello acidxburn, welcome to BrightHand

    Are you sure you have enabled InfraRed in Hostync Manager ? Right-click in Taskbar tray, select InfraRed.

    Which version of PalmDesktop have you installed ? What platform is your laptop running ?
    Have you enabled InfraRed on your Laptop ?
    If WinXP: In Control Panel - Wireless Link, go to tab Image Transfer. Deselect 'Use wireless link ...'

    I think H covered most items, and you do know that to activate the IR hotsync you must select the HS app, then select IR connection, and to activate, TAP the HS icon center screen.

    You can purchase a serial sync cable for the m100 here.
    DT Lives in SFO...away from flying objects.
