    I'm working with the latest versions of BackupBuddy and a beta of BackupBuddyVFS on my LD, and they *appear* to be working (VFS occasionally crashes on launch, but it seems to be making full backups on my SD card). I haven't had either the need or the nerve to try to restore from a full hard reset, but I'm hopeful it will work. Then again, I had problems with BackupBuddy (the desktop version) fully restoring my Tungsten C, so who knows. {Prof. Jonathan, who has been using BackupBuddy since it was first released}

    Try BackupMan. For me it works. But it may depend from what you have on your LifeDrive.

    it backups the contents of the 64 MB "internal RAM" on a SD-Card.

    When I asked Bitsnbolts about compatibility of BackuMan with the LifeDrive, I got this answer:

    "So far we're only aware of one issue with the LifeDrive, that being a possible Database Already Open error during the backup process. It does not seem to effect everyone however.

    We're releasing an update to deal with that late this week or early next week."

    Default 64meg of Applications

    I have been using BackupMan too. It seems to be backing up the 64meg application area just fine. I have not tested doing a Hard Reset since I do not wish to format the 4gig drive. but when I need a quick restore of a file it seems to do the trick just fine.

    Could be a lifesaver when I travel.

    I've receved that message too, but I'm not sure that its a problem isolated to BackupMan as I've received it occassionally when I'm installing a new file to internal RAM also. A soft reset clears it.

    For me, I am using Backupman. When I have it schedule automated backups it causes a reset on the application it is returning to after the backup completes.

    I have not tried a restore, but someday if I need one, I'll try the one from Backupman first.

    WHile not positive, I believe a manual backup does not soft reset the LD. It time to do another reset sometime today and I'll see about reporting if it resets or not.

    Default Can not figure out

    I don't get why I get the 'your memory card is full' message. I have set the unit for an automatic back up to see if that makes a diff. I need a backup solution fast... I have BBuddy, BackupMan and Botzam ... you would think one of them would work...
