HP File Explorer to show file extensions?

    Default HP File Explorer to show file extensions?

    Is there anyway to make the file explorer that came with my Jornada 565 show the extensions of the files? Sometimes I am looking for the .EXE to make a shortcut, and have many files with the same name sans extensions.

    Can this be done or do I need to use a 3rd party file explorer?

    Don't waste your time with the default/bundled file explorer. I highly recommend Resco's File Explorer.

    Thank you. I would really like to find a free solution if possible -- I've already spent a fortune that I shouldn't have on this PDA.

    Just check any PDA software site and you'll be able to find freeware file explorers. Try here and get PocketExplorer 2.20

    Not as nice as resco, but if you're used to that horrible explorer that comes as standard then it should do the job.

    I've installed Pocket Explorer -- works great. Does exactly what I need. Thank you.
