Default How do I reset to Factory Setting???

    Can anyone help PLEASE!!??
I have a HP ipaq rz1710 and need to set it back to the factory setting as there are bad files on it and they are causing it not to sync with my laptop. I have followed the instructions in the user guide to do a 'Hard' reset but this has not wiped all the data off it. And I can't find it anywhere in the guide to reset to the factory setting.
Does anyone out there know how to do this as it is driving me mad
Thanks for your time in reading this.

    Hello and welcome to Brighthand.

While holding the far left (Mobile Media) and far right (Today) buttons, press in on the reset button (reset hole) on the bottom for about 2-3 seconds. To verify that you have hard reset you device, press the power button. If the device does not turn on then you have successfully hard reset you device. To reactivate the PDA, either connect the device to the AC adapter or press in on the reset button.

Thanks for that but after following those instructions which are the same as I have tried I am still haveing the same problems. It is somehow holding onto the old - deleted data and that has the errors in. I will have to email 'Missing Sync' who is the software on my laptop and see if they can see the problem, but thanks for trying.
