New - Update: HP iPAQ hx4700 Pocket PC Series BIOS Update

HP has just released the patch which restores the iPAQ Pocket PC battery capacity value to its original, correct setting. There's no link on the HP download page yet, but you can download it directly from their ftp.

The last ROM update 1.1 did not report the high capacity battery properly, so you could not use the high capacity battery if you did the update. This fixes it.

It will make a hard reset to the device or it is like some other updates (like the audio one) which do not touch anything else ??

Its only a rom patch, you dont loose anything

After installing, I don't see any noticeable difference in the battery performance. <shrug>

I tsimply shows the correct value for battery if you are using the high capacity battery.
