I'm about to get an iPAQ hx 2415 from someone on the forums (it was listed in the buy/sell area), and I was wondering what all updates there'd be for it. It supposedly has WM 5.0. I was reading in this area about a ROM update or something... does that apply for the 2415?

Also, I'm trying to find some accessories for it. It comes with a 1GB CF, but I want to up it to at least a 4GB, so I can put some games & other various programs on there, plus some TV episodes or short movies on there for trips. Music's not really an issue, as I use my phone as an MP3 player. Any good places to get a decent 4GB+ CF for fairly inexpensive? I saw some 8GB ones on newegg.com for ~$75...

I also want an extended battery for it, I just don't know the part number to look for it. Any help?

Also, I'd like some help in finding a case for it, as well as GPS & a car cradle for it. Thanks very much! I havn't used any form of PDA since my Palm m100 some 5 years ago, so this will be exciting to use.

You might want to check out the HP support website for any ROM updates which apply specifically to your device.

NewEgg, Meritline.com, or you might keep an eye on FatWallet.com/c/18. Adorama.com recently had an 8 GB CF card for $50 after a fairly hefty rebate, and they've had some good 4 GB deals as I recall, but I've never used them, so I can't vouch.

Any Bluetooth GPS will do, though if you want top notch the GlobalSat BT-338 is considered good. As for a car cradle, you can find dozens of generic models on eBay, or you can look at some place like Semsons.com for a model-specific one.

FreewarePPC.com. It's not exhaustive, but it's a good start. Also you aught to check out PocketGear and the Brighthand software store.
