There are more options, but I'll give you two that I have experience with.
    1. WiFi (short range, 100-300 feet like within a hotel, office, or house). You will need a CF expansion jacket (either with or without an extra battery, I suggest the battery one [expansion pack plus] so you can surf longer) and a CF WiFi card (80211x where x is either b-(slower) or g-(faster)) to match the wireless router in the home/hotel/etc. It does not have to be the same brand and a older "b" CF card will connect to a newer "g" network. All this can be found either new (unknown total price), or on ebay, and both should total under or near $100.

    2. Get a cable from www.gomatic.com (less than $50) that connects the ipaq to your cell phone (of course your carrier needs to allow this and your phone needs to be capable of doing this) and find out how to use your phone as a modem. Works everywhere, usually at 14.4 slooow speed, but everywhere you have phone coverage. I use Version with a Moto V710 (or V720) and it is good with the Ipaq, (and great with a laptop!).

Be warned that the internet on the small ipaq screen sucks, for most sites as what you see is a small window of what you would see on a PC monitor. You have to move this window around to see the entire screen. Not good. There are a few sites that are formatted for the PPC, but not usually common email access sites! I'd like to get a program to fit the whole web page on the ipaq screen and then zoom into areas of interest, but haven't found this yet.

http://www.skweezer.net may be the answer to Solar One's search for a program to make web browsing more comfortable on an Ipaq screen.
