Anyone running a Kingston or Toshiba PCMCIA Hard drive on their WM2003 upgraded device?

I have the 2GB Toshiba and got WM2003 specifically to get rid of that horrible format promt everytime I turned on my iPaq, but just days before I got 2003, my HD card broke (I broke it by accident).

Thanks folks. It's good to know that you won't lose the ability to use PCMCIA cards if you update to WM2003. Thanks for your input.

There was some annoyances when the 2215 (one of the first wm2k3 devices that came out), a CF-to-PCMCIA adaptor, and the 5Gb PC Cards hard drives did not work on the 2215:
http://www.semsons.com/comflastopcc.html
There were also a couple of threads where the 555X wouldn't work either and then the possible problem was recanted.**Does not support iPAQ 22XX series due to voltage constraint on the PDA.**
Support for the hdd is hardware oriented, not OS.

I got hooked on ultra-large storage solutions back when 1gig IBM microdrives cost a little less than the device it was running on. I've happily collected over 25 gigs of CF, PCMCIA, and PCMCIA interface external hard drive solutions. I'm a litte miffed that about 23 gigs of that is useless with my 2215.
just looking for ideas.

Me too.
I'm holding on to the 5Gb Toshiba in the hopes that I'll be able to use it again with a thin form-factor PPC.
I just got into the PPC this year, so I'm only at 3Gb of CF and SD memory. The storage brick just seems to big to me.
I'm keeping my Picturebook in my car and getting an 80Gb 5400rpm hard drive for it soon.

There may be some good news for WM2003 users wanting to use a storage brick option on their devices a new driver has had positive results on upgraded PPC2002 to WM2003 devices check out this thread.
