Default NYC Pocket PC User's Group meeting

    Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you guys know I had a great time at the meeting and it was a pleasure meeting some of the members from Brighthand. Great job goes out to Doc Bell, Firehawk and Jonlein. I am sorry if I didn't mention anyone else but it was a big first time group :-) Until next month,

    Ken

Hi folks, just wanted to echo kentom's sentiments - my hat's off to Richard, Firehawk and Jon, for making it all happen. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much more than a roomfull of dorks showing off their shiny little toys over a meal of doritos and koolaid, so you can imagine my surprise at finding so many intelligent, accomplished individuals (in stark contrast to my own dork-like self) accompanied by a remarkably decent repast.

The conversation was great, the discussion was great, Richard's "nudge, nudge, wink, winks" regarding future PPC developments were great (I swear, doc, I'll sign an NDA, just let me see the 565!) - can't wait for the next meeting.

PS - Thanks for not ratting me out about the m505 in my pocket, Sam. I owe you one.

I don't know if the topic came up in the users group meeting, but I had contacted Doc Bell and extended the $99.00 64MB RAM upgrade special pricing to the NYC Pocket PC Users Group if you mention it when you call in for your UAN (Upgrade Authorization Number). www.ipaqupgrade.com Sound like ya'll had a great meeting.

    Default It was great!

I just wanted to thank Doc and everyone who came to the meeting last night. It was a larger turnout than I expected and the PPC knowledge in that room was nearly overwhelming (and the refreshments were pretty good too).

If you life within a few hours drive of NYC, I suggest that you subscribe to the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nycpocketpcusers. You will not be sorry!

Sorry I couldn't make it this time. I should be able to be at the next one. Hope to see everyone there.

    s0ldier93,

If you plan to come to the next meeting and stay overnight, you might want to consider staying at the YMCA where we hold our PPC meetings. The nightly room rate is $70. You can't beat that price considering that most rooms in the city go for $200 and up. This YMCA is also the nicest in the city. Perhaps, you can bring your wife along and make it a mini vacation.

    Later,
    Jonathan
