Question 64mb Ipaq...is it as fast as the 32mb?

I am probably going to buy an Ipaq to replace my current Jornada 548 and have my eyes set on the 3670. Does having the extra memory slow the Ipaq down at all? I spoke to customer service at Compaq and they said it would be FASTER?? Is that accurate? Also, I would like to have Peacemaker but that doesn't come with the 3670, can I tranfer it from my Jornada somehow or do I have to go buy it again?

This is a really great place to find information on these computers. Thanks to whoever set this up!

I have both. There is no appreciable difference in speed.

    I went from a 3635 to a 3670 and have not noticed a difference.

I had my 3630 upgraded to 64MB of RAM, so I've had the chance for a direct comparison, all other factors being equal, and I can't see a performance difference. Theoretically it'll run faster if you've got a LOT of programs running...

Having both also, I haven't noticed any change in speed.

    Cool

I picked up a 3670 (G16) at a local Compusa today and it seems noticably faster than the 3650 I purchased in early December. GoAmerica graphics certainly draw faster. I'm also not having nearly as much trouble with Calligrapher RC 1.

I didn't know that retailers were selling the 3670. I thought they were only available through online retailers.

    Cool

I stumbled onto them by accident when I was looking for Ipaq accessories on CompUSA's web site. Much to my surprise, 3670s were showing as available in all 33133 (Miami) zip code stores. I walked into one of the stores, checked the serial numbers and walked out with a new 3670 (turnaround time about 10 minutes).

    Ah, obsessions!

I ordered mine directly from Compaq...none of the stores around here seem to carry it, and I am not sure I trust ordering online from some of these companies that I 've never heard of. How much did it cost at retail??
