    Red face

Mine works well also, but it has a small crack along the back edge where the card is inserted as well as a couple of spots of chipped paint. The crack appeared shortly after I recieved it through no fault of my own. It has always been in its case and never dropped. It is certainly more delicate than the plain old CF sleeve, or the Ipaq case for that matter.

I never actually let my parrot chew on it!

Mine has a spec of chipped paint on the bottom of it. George told me the type of paint to get and I haven't found it at my local TrakAuto, but I'll try some other places. Just so I can do my own touchups later.

    Unhappy

well I had a small chip already and used touch up paint for cars (since its automotive paint he uses)

the finish wasnt as good as I expected when recieved but the only option George offered was to ship it back to him for a refund..

I guess I would rather have the slimmed down sleave with the defects then none...

there were scratches under the clear coat on the inside (luckily) where the ipaq slides in...

the other thing I notice is that people tend to grab the ipaq by the wings (the cut out sides) and press the record button by accident when pulling out of my Veja case...

I was also disappointed that George did not offer a refund to customers who just got the SSII from him when he lowered the price to $55 ... I just got mine last week (oh well ... I guess its not like stores that if they have a sale within a few days they match their lowered price to you)

Life is what you make it ... Make it Great

    Cool

I joined up with the OmniSky Beta program and got a PC Sleeve with the deal. I only use it though when on short trips to check email. Even when I do, I check email and then slip it off and the silver slider is the mainstay with my MicroDrive. I have gotten around the battery issues with an extra AC Adaptor, Car Adaptor and a battery extender as I want to stay slim.

I am super happy with the Silver Slider and Vaja case and wear it on the belt along with the cellular. That and a geeky cellular hands free wire draws lots of flak, which I ignore. I only take the Ipaq + SS out of the case to put it in the cradle. As a result the SS is in pretty good shape, better in fact than the IPAQ which has scratch marks from the PC Card Sleeve. George is my hero!

    Thumbs up

Had my SS for a couple of months and love George's workmanship. I even dropped the iPAC (fault of the belt clip) and the SS and iPAC came through undamaged. I keep the SS on 90% of the time in a Vaja SS case. Highly recommend both products.
