In which video format should I convert my clips so that I can show off on my iPaq?;-)
Mpeg1 doesn't seem to work with Mediaplayer, and I couldn't find a reasonable ASF converter.

If you go to Microsofts site they have software called Windows Media Encoder and that works very well at converting video.

use WMV... windows media video... if you download the newest codecs, you can encode your video in mpeg-4 (with WMA for audio), which works out very nicely.

    Question

Is there a MPEG4 player for the iPaq (other than Packet Video which uses a proprietary flavor of MPEG4)?

    TIA.

I downloaded the WMA Encoder. However, there are so many WMA quality format to choose. Which one should I choose for my PocketPC?

Also, too high and the show is jerky. Too low and the show is very very bad.

    Any suggestions?

lordbyron: like I just said, MS' WM Encoder features WMV format, which can be MPEG-4 video and WMA audio (the format of choice for me).

chaddeus: Use MPEG-4 (type 3) with WM audio... The reason the show will be jerky at a high quality is because you told the encoder to care more about the quality of each frame than the smoothness of the movie... too low, and it cares too much about the smoothness. Personally, I care more about quality, so I leave the encoder in the 90s (95% or 98% usually). You might want to try about 80% if 90's too jerky for you...

I just downloaded WMA Encoder v7 and I am not sure about changing to MPEG-4 with WMA audio format.

I usually set to Video for e-mail and dual channel ISDN (128Kbps). Where to change to MPEG4 format?

Thank you for helping or must i have WMA Encoder v8 Beta?
