I am trying to make up my mind about which to install, Dashboard or Taskview Today and Agenda Today plugin. Could someone offer their thoughts on these programs, perhaps the pros and cons of each.
Thanks
Steve

Steve,
The benefits of Dashboard are that you can integrate Dates, Contacts, e-mail, and to-do's into one program that is pretty fast. For me it is aking to having a single Outlook program to view my data in. I'm very happy (just started using Dashboard this week). I'm sure the other apps are great too and everyone has different needs. Your best bet its to try the free trials of all three apps and see which one works best for you.

Steve,
I use Agenda Today, and Phrase Today and ALL the other todays by DeveloperOne. I love them. In fact also use TimeTTracker (which the beta has a Today plug-in).
I like the one screen view. I admit I would like to have a skin on the Today page.
Chris at Snoopsoft said that in version 2.0 of Dashboard, we will have both options. Dashboard and today plug-ins.
Check the threads on the boards. Chris responded to my direct question on this topic.

Pocket Informant is the best. Neener, neener, neener.
But if you MUST limit yourself to the Today page, Dashboard gives you the most flexibility/customizability.

Definitely Pocketinformant. I also have Dashboard which also compatible with pocketinformant. Pocketinformant was just upgraded to 2.1, with monthly view and drag/drop features. It is the best PIM around.

I've been utilizing drag and drop in Agenda Today for months, so PI is just catching up here. AT also has the innovative icon dragging method to create a new appointment or task. You can also do this with the AT Today plug-in, something that Dashboard doesn't do.
I also prefer the one-screen summary on the Today page to Dashboard's multi-page approach. And I actually lose e-mail functionality with Dashboard, since it only supports the ActiveSync Inbox. I use Cadenza with Lotus Notes (which has its own Inbox), so Dashboard's e-mail page shows an empty Inbox.
PI is a very nice program, but I've tried them both and I prefer Agenda Today, for its still superior drag and drop functionality (even after PI's latest upgrade) and Today page functionality lacking in PI, for which even the additional purchase of Dashboard only partially compensates.
Despite my preference for AT, I will agree that both PI's contact display and the new month display are significant improvements over the MS standard version.
Bottom line is, both PI and AT are very well designed programs, and each has advantages that the other lacks. They both have trial versions, so you can try them both and pick your own favorite.
According to Developer One's web site, a major revamp of Agenda Today is just around the corner. With the quality of the current Dev One products (as well as PI and Dashboard), I'm sure the competition between AT and PI/Dashboard will heat up considerably.
