Help - Cannot restore after hard reset

    Unhappy Help - Cannot restore after hard reset

    I've had my 2210 for a few months now. It's started soft resetting itself for no apparent reason. It also doesn't always power on and I have to perform a soft reset.

    I've always backed up with ActiveSync.

    Now I've just hard reset, gone to restore with ActiveSync and it says.
    "Restore cannot be completed successfully. The selected backup file was created from a different type of mobile device"

    This is rubbish, I only have 1 device.

    Help and advice would be most welcome!

    For the active sync to restore the backup, you need the following conditions:

    (1) The name of the device has to be the same as the device name when the backup was created.
    (2) All regional settings need to be the same as on the backup.

    There was one more parameter, but I cannot remmber it at the moment.

    You only need the regional setting to be UK thats all.

    Thanks for the help. It's restored now and seems to be reliable so far.

    I did select the correct country, change the name and this might have been the only things required. However, I also reinstalled the bluetooth (build 58) patch.

    I'm happy now.
