    Default YELLOW Screen

I spoke to a second level engineer, his name is Sam (let me just reserve his phone number for now). Yesterday, I spoke to a customer relationship agent, he called me and promised me a "good" unit -- slight yellowing and yellow at extrem angles, that he said he had in his hand. So I told him if it is possible to have that very unit. He and I laughed about it and at the end he said Sam is going to take care of all.

Today, Sam called me and informed that he had several units and they all have the same problem that I am having. This means that he could not give me a replacement. I am not sure if he just does not want to give me a replacement or he is serious about escalating the matter up to third level engineer.

From the conversation, he sounded like he thinks it is an "issue", but not sure if it is a manufacturing problem or by design. So the third level engineers will be able to test it againt HP's specifications. Sam is vague about declaring it as defect because he sort of implied that if all tests done are in accordance of HP's specification, the YELLOW screen is not a defect (but a feature, heeeheee) and whoever bought it will have to live with it.

Unhappy And this is what they told me..

    I just realized....The 1940 has a mood sensor!

I called hp to tell them about the yellow I was seeing, and this is what the guy told me. He said that he loves his 1940 because of the mood sensor. He lets his wife hold it, that tells him what type of mood she is in by the color the display shows. He said it actually shows 5 colors he is aware of...Blue, Yellow, green, Brown and Red. I asked him if he ever seen the display turn red? He said yes, when he found out he couldn't trade it for a 2215.

Being a 2215 user I thought that was funny, but it was not fair of him to say that...

    Default Add in the color

of happiness (whatever color HP employees choose) . . . this is when HP rep tells you that you are screwed, and then relieves himself on your 1940 screen to make it YELLOW and then say, OK, I see YELLOW . . .
