If you ordered at the time of your first post you would have it in your hands before they come to circuit city thats for sure...Originally posted by dcorsi
How do you mean cheaper... the no tax and 10% off coupon? the shipping is so high, even for ground (which i am *not* going to wait 5-7 days for since by then the unit will be at local stores). What am I missing unless it is the education discount...
I ordered Monday night after work and recieved Wednesday morning 10am. -Two days.( with the 5-7 day FREE shipping)
I paid 269.00
The 1910 I purchased at BESTBUY the week before ( I didnt know about the 45 coming out) Took 5 days to get to the store because BESTBUY does not carry them in stock. The grand total was 320.00
So, in my experience, Faster and Cheaper.
269.00 is less then 320.00 no matter how you look at it. The coupon and the no TAX saved me $50.00. I could spend that on a Keyboard, battery, case, cradle... etc.Proud Owner of order# HY67501

Glad you had good luck on shipping...I had the opposite. I ordered a week ago Friday, June 27, with FedEx Ground Free Shipping, and just received it this afternoon. Good thing I have a 2215 that kept me company before I do my comparison.Originally posted by citizen_cow

Compared it with 1910 and 2210 over there side by side.
1. 2210 and 1940 have same screen. both have smaller display area due to a border as compared to 1910.
2. a yellow tint is visible on both 2210 and 1940. If you flip them arround and see from the other angle, tint is less visible
3. 1910 screen is better. No doubt. I showed it to sales person, he got surprised too. showed it to couple other people everyone agreed.
HP probably trying to keep the cost down.
I finally decided to keep my 1940 (shipped from HPSHOPPING).
Waiting for SDIO 802.11b card comming from socket on August 1st. It is expansive though ($149).
Here is it copied verbatum from their site.
"Pricing and Availability
Socket?s SDIO WLAN Card will be available August 1, 2003, in North America through Socket?s website (www.socketcom.com) and through Socket?s North American distribution channels for an MSRP of $149."
